Designed for Splendor

I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable,
but through it all I still know quite certainly that
just to be alive is a grand thing.
~Agatha Christie

March started off amazingly with Mraz's concert and Celebration of Praise! Plenty of events followed behind with lovely outings and great makan time too.
Yet each and everyday the thought that another day has passed
gave me the chills because i know it's closer to the month of April.
April is supposedly the study month before my finals come in May!
So, that was the downside of the month of May.
The pressure has finally kicked in and so has the dilemmas.

Thinking back now, March really wasn't that bad at all.
Regardless of all the unpleasant events and troubled moments
i experienced throughout the whole month, it was actually a month
filled with new experiences and plenty of lessons to learn from.

Here are just a few pictures since i haven't been putting up any lately :

Bubba Gump & Co. - a lovely restaurant!

Huay ann with his magic potion.

Me & Lulu

The Jason Mraz gang!

So, That was my month of March.
Yes, i realised that life is indeed grand!
Despite the bumps and pitholes that comes along with it,
being able to live life itself is a privilege in itself. :)

April is here already and i guess, i cannot hide from the fact that exams
are closer than ever but one thing i know is that He holds my tomorrow.

Live Like You're Dying

A sense of lifelessness fills the air even though
my ears hear the sound of each and every breath taken.

All too often, time is wasted and days pass without meaning.
Time and time again, another opportunity slips away and
numerous moments pass unnoticed with the blink of an eye.
The song by Lenka suggests that we should live like we're dying.
As if the very next breath taken may be the last and
where a single second should not be left to be misspend.

Take every moment; you know that you own them.
It's all you can do, use what's been given to you.

The fact is, we are actually dying physically little by little, day by day
as we are getting closer to the day that we will leave this humble home.
And the faster we realise that we do not have a million years ahead,
the more aware we are about the fact that each second counts.
The question at the end is,
what are our seconds counting for?

Teach us to number our days aright,
that we may gain the heart of wisdom.
Psalm 90 : 12

It's a choice that only we ourselves can make :)

It's time to mark the calendar!

FORMULA ONE is back! ;)

After what seem like an endless winter break,
my favourite sport is finally starting again!
The competition, the cars, the crowds and new circuits
are back for a new season and the drama has already
started even before the red lights go off.

The official line-up for 2009 is as follow :

Mclaren - Lewis Hamilton & Heikki Kovalainen
Ferrari - Kimi Raikkonen & Felipe Massa
BMW Sauber - Robert Kubica & Nick Heidfeld
Renault - Fernando Alonso & Nelsinho Piquet
Toyota - Jarno Trulli & Timo Glock
Toro Rosso - Sebastien Buemi & Sebastien Bourdais
Red Bull - Mark Webber & Sebastian Vettel
Williams - Nico Rosberg & Kazuki Nakajima
Brawn GP - Jenson Button & Rubens Barichello
Force India - Adrian Sutil & Giancarlo Fisichella

What to look out for this new season?

- Brawn GP : Honda is out and so is Super Aguri, but do keep an eye on
this new team set up by Ross Brawn himself! They might be a new team
but don't bet that they'll be at the end of the line because not only do
they have the experience in this sport but they have a super team player
behind it all. They are after all, the old Honda team.

- New driver : Sebastien Buemi, Switzerland (click for more info)

- New circuits :
   - Yas Marina Circuit : Abu Dhabi GP
   - Suzuka Circuit is back again!

Catch the first race of 2009 :
AUSTRALIAN GP
28th March (Sat) - QUALY : 14.00
29th March (Sun) - RACE DAY : 14.00

Who do i think will win the World Championship this year?
Who else, other than Kimi Raikkonen, the Iceman! :D

7 days left to go...

Oddly-doo-da

This week has been a routine, which honestly feels quite odd.
Having evidence class from 2 till 6 everyday can be awfully boring.
It's like deja-vu, reliving the same day again and again...and again.

My usual busy and weird timing schedule, where random plans
just seem to pop-up everywhere like weeds, is now more appealing.
I even tend to forget what day it is and I constantly have to look at
the calendar to remind myself.

Why exactly am I blogging about such boring stuffs?
Because I'm bored, of course!
If I were doing something interesting then I wouldn't be sitting here
blogging would I? :)

Anyways, the aim of this very odd blog post  is because i lost a bet :(
and now i have to face the music by telling everyone that i was defeated.

' Revenge is Sweet '

Have you ever found yourself wishing another person
to feel as hurt as you are?
Or silently said it in your heart, "you'll taste it one day"?
Or maybe you've seen someone going through a rough patch,
yet you can't help but feel a little good inside?
Yes, revenge is sweet - or not

When a situation hurts us so deep or frustrates us so bad
are we ready to take it as an opportunity to "turn the other cheek"
or do we rather just hang on to 'sweet revenge'?
Honestly, it is just so much easier to do the latter but is it any good?

God has given each of us the opportunity to be kind, to be courteous,
to be loving and to be forgiving in this life. It's definitely difficult to
make that choice when the opportunity presents itself but
He clearly did not intend for us to experience mediocre relationships
in our life, rather He has created us for far greater things and
He knows that we are capable of making that choice.

I really didn't understand why i was going through what I was going
through but now i know that it was an opportunity that He has given
me to loveSo, I have decided to forgive for He has forgiven me.

Forgiveness is not an emotion.
Forgiveness is an act of the will, and the will can
function regardless of the temperature of the heart

He Really Bites Everything.

When i was watching Marley and Me last week, I can't help
but think of Xabi every time Marley does something mischievous.
Thats because Xabi is really as intolerable as Marley some times
yes we can't stop loving him
So, here is another episode of the naughtiest dog in Malaysia.

Just last tuesday Xabi contributed some drama mama into my life.
It was around dinner time which is close to 6pm,
when i heard him screaming.
Initially, i didn't gave much thought to it because I honestly thought he
was poo-ing hair again or just trying to get attention
until i heard my sister screaming too . . .

When i came out of my room, I saw the most horrifying thing.
Xabi was screaming with a HANGER stuck in his throat!

yes, it was a metal HANGER!
What happened? How did it get in there? What was he doing?
I have no answers nor any idea of how such a thing could ever happen
but apparently, it is possible in Xabi's case.

It was such a frightening experience as we rushed him to the nearest
vet. I didn't know how else to calm him down but just pray.
Thank God, he just sat quietly for most of the time during the journey.
When we finally reached the clinic, Xabi was put on anaesthesia and a
minor surgery was performed to get the hanger out from his throat.
The good news is that he is doing alright now and he is running
and playing like his old self again. :)

Will Xabi ever learns his lesson?
I really hope so he will but for all i know he has started to bite things again, including my sister's handphone charger yesterday.
sigh, thats my Xabi :)

note : To those who prayed for him on Tuesday, I just want to say Thank you.
