Year 2008 ; more good stuff!

hello,

Year 2008 was filled with new beginnings and experiences,
and has been in every sense amazing.
From the beginning of the year, I had a feeling that this year would be
a turning point for me and it has certainly surpass all my expectations!
It has been a year of much learning and growth,
which was never easy but all worth while.
Most of all, during this wonderful year He has taught me
to love even more as I grew to know Him more intimately.
It is truly amazing how God can work in us if only we will let Him.

Jeremiah 29 : 11
For I know the plans I have for you,
plans to prosper you and not to harm you;
plans to give you a hope and a future.

This was the verse that God gave me at the end of last year,
which i have been holding onto ever since.
It is a verse which is full of promise and hope for what is to come,
knowing that He who loves us holds our very future and that
He has great plans ahead for you and me. And because of that,
I am looking forward to what He has in store for me in Year 2009! :)

7  first steps/unexpected things vickie took/did in Year 2008 :

1. Started learning a new language
2. Serve Him in the music ministry
3. Started Year 1 Uni and completed it!

and even found a bunch of crazy friends.

2. Made a crazy YouTube video with the lokas

5. Exercised (this is a big thing i'm serious, ask ppl close to me)

6. Got a psycho dog, my lovely Xabi.

7. Embark on an unexpected journey with someone special.

All Glory to Him who does exceedingly, abundantly,
above all we could ever imagine. Thank you, Father :)

P/S : I know the pictures are lousy but i really don't have the time to find nicer ones. So, too bad! :P

sleigh ride together with you

i'm back from youth camp :D
gosh, how time flies and now
everybody's favourite holiday is just around the corner.

MERRY CHRISTMAS !!
Happy Birthday, Jesus :)

1 John 4 : 10 - 12
This is Love : Not that we loved God, but that He loved us
and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Dear friends, since God so loved us,
we also ought to love one another.

God bless you!

Still

i barely made it through this week.
i just felt so lifeless  and tired mentally that it has left me speechless.
It's usually better in the morning but
when night time falls so does my spirit.

My schedule was packed to the brim that i hardly
had any time at all to catch my breath.
I do not know how i will be able to carry on anymore
but all i know is that things will get better, somehow. they got to.
Thankfully, I'm beginning to see the tiny light at the end of the tunnel :)

Hide me now, under your wings
Cover me within your mighty hand

When the ocean rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are King over the flood
I will be still and know you are God

Find rest my soul in Christ alone
Know His power in quietness and trust

p/s : Thanks for reminding me that He has greater things for me which are to come.

Ooo-La-Laa, c'est Decembre :)

November ended with the BAC Annual Ball
and now as quickly as that has passed another month has arrived :)
December has always been my favourite month.
How can it not be with Christmas around the corner and camp too.
But now that it is finally here, i actually feel a little sad knowing that
year 2008 is coming to an end.
Nevertheless, i am still as excited as ever to what is to come.

I have been quite busy (isn't that what you always hear from me?)
hmm, then again quite isn't exactly the correct word.
The word very would definitely be more accurate.
I have been having class everyday including Sunday because
of the land law replacement classes. Plus, i had a lot of little things
coming up here and there. Thus, i am totally wiped out.
I definitely had my share of ups and downs this whole week.
From happy to emo to sad to depressed to high and then to psycho.
It's just gonna be one crazy ride this month, i tell ya.

my first accident.

vickie banged into a CRV
because she is just so blur sometimes.

i got into my first ever accident on Saturday morning while i was on my way to class.
Thank God, it was just a small one and the man let me go cause his car still looked fine.
My dad didn't scold me neither did he lecture me about it.
He saw it coming, i guess. hehe.
So my satrari has a small dent in the front now. sigh.
but then again, maybe i can go get a new paint job now.

Sometimes we just have to take things
with our hands up high like King Julian!
"it's more fun that way, Maurice" :D

Thirsty for Your Blood

Of 3 things i am certain :

1. The Twilight book is better than the movie, as expected.

2. It isn't the best movie of the year but it was worth my time and money.

3. Dr Caslisle (Edward Cullen's father) is very hot indeed!

"Edward Cullen : And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.
Isabella Swan : What a stupid lamb.
Edward Cullen : What a sick, masochistic lion."

wet shoes.

There is one thing that i hate during rainy days.
and that is getting my shoes wet, especially my pretty flats.
I just can't stand it. tak boleh tahan!  :(
Grr, It makes me wanna scream

ish, i shall wear flip flops next time.

Food has been a big issue nowadays.
Everybody around me seems to be stuffing food into my tummy,
which means more good food.
Keep it coming, people! ;P

Who is the Lazy Bum?

why does it feels like somebody is spitting on my face?
oh, it's just the drizzle.

my brains feels like mashed potatoes.
my head was going boom-boom while i was driving all the way home,
all thanks to the beautiful subject law of trust.
I really need to hit the books and catch up on my notes.
Somebody, please help bring the nerd out in me!
(if there even is a nerd in me. i doubt so.)

sigh, i miss my mum's cooking very much.

Chapeau Paris!

I recently watched my third French movie called Paris
directed by Cedric Klapisch, and i really enjoyed it!
I've only watched French comedies before,
so it was a nice change to watch a drama this time around.
The movie was actually quite emotional and inspiring
but it was funny as well.
It also gave me a feel of what Paris is really like
with all it's beauty and splendor. :)

The story begins with Pierre, a young man unexpectedly
confronted with his own mortality.
For the next 24 hours, his tour through the city will
weave with those of his beloved sister, his neighbours
(some known, some not), their friends and workmates,
and their interconnected stories of love, familial bonds,
loneliness and compassion come together in unexpected ways.

my tummy says 'rawr'

Ever tried frosties & milk in a cuppa ?

you haven't ?  :O
no way!
why not?
you must !!

i have been seriously eating so many cups of this since
the lokas introduced it to me, that i have no more milk left in my fridge.
(and vivien is not even here to fight with me over it!)
It's best eaten at night for supper! yes, i said supper not breakfast.
don't ask me why, just try it for yourself. :)

Here It Goes Again.

I dread Saturdays, i really do :(
For everybody else it's probably the best day of the week,
while for me it's the day where I have 7 hours of class.
Now i guess, you'll understand why i 'look forward' to
Saturdays so much :P

Ah, i love the smell of books. Don't you?
I got to buy 4 hard cover books yesterday for only Rm 28 during
the pay less books sale at YMCA KL. yay.
You should definitely check it out if you've got the time.

I have always liked things that are abit old.
I don't mean like an old stinky shoe,
but I do have a liking for things with some sentimental value.
Hmm, isn't it it interesting that the books i bought has been read
by someone at some place, some time ago.
She may be 8 years older or He may be a father or
it might be someone i passed on the street.
I wonder if the book made her laugh like it did to me
or did he find it dull and boring ?
Maybe it made her realise something
or it may have taught him a lesson.
Books always give me a fuzzy feeling inside,
and i like it. :)

Another Saturday down, plenty more to go!

Zhivio (hello)

Do you want to try something new?

Why not try Croatian food :D

Last night, Me and David went to try out some croatian food at DUBROVNIK in Solaris, Mont Kiara and boy, was the food good.
It actually took us an hour to find the place, thanks to the rain and our blind eyes. It really wasn't that hard actually, we were just unlucky.
The place has a really nice interior (alot of white!) and the atmosphere was very quiet and private as there was only 4 tables of customers including us. The prices isn't exactly cheap but i find it quite reasonable comparing to the quality of food that they serve.
You can check out the menu here. It's worth the try :)

pretty place isn't it?

BBQ Platter for 2
The beef, lamb and chicken was really yummy, so was the dips!

Do NOT try the Strukli; cheese dumpling!
it is really quite yucky till the point we couldn't finish it
but everything else we had was really delicious.

Open Sesame

oh boy, it's been quite a day.
I would say the most productive one i had this week :)

So, i got my medical report this morning from pantai hospital
and i finally got to know my blood type after 18, almost 19 years
that my blood type is . . . O Positive!
My report turned out to be really good and I am perfectly healthy
according to the doctor. Praise God! :D
I also managed to bathe Xabi with my dad in the morning
and bring some dresses for alteration before going to class.

Before class today, me and Carlye had a lift incident .
The two of us was going to Level 2 in the itsy bitsy lift with 4 other girls
but some how the lift stopped at level 1 and the both of us went out.
By the time we realised that we were at the wrong level,
the lift closed it's door behind us.
So, we were walking up the stairs to level 2 getting ready to see the
faces of the people who didn't open the door for us and that was
when we realised that the 4 girls was STUCK IN THE LIFT. :P
We couldn't stop ourselves from laughing a little but we are not evil all
the way, as we did inform the lecturer immediately who called for help.

Even now, I can't help but smile thinking how close we were
from being stuck in the lift for 30 minutes.
Phew* that was close!

who says a penguin can't fly?

woosh, I likey Madagascar 2 !

It isn't as original as the first one but it is still as funny.

"wah si lau ah ma" Remember, lokas?

I adore KING JULIAN!
i want to get high with him. *dance dance*

hey, look at me. I'm a lady.
Who is attracted to me?
Raise Your Hands! :D

Songs for you; Truths for me

i can't get enough of james morrison.

His blue-eyed soul songs in his new album
are definitely worth listening to.
Songs i would recommend would be Save Yourself,
Fix the World Up For You and Dream on Hayley.
but honestly,
i love every song on his album just as much :)

He does have some resemblance to Bob Dylan.

don't you agree?

There she goes;

They are leaving tomorrow! :(

My mum and sister are going to Sweden
for 1 month starting from tomorrow.
They both really deserve a lovely holiday but
gosh, i'm going to miss them so much!

im so gonna miss your hugs :(

and our freaking out times

and our psychoco times!

i'm so happy for you and i hope you'll have an awesome time over there!

I love you .

The coming month will not be easy but i will persevere
because i know everything happens for a reason.
I believe He has something in store for me
and He is preparing me for what is to come next year.
It'll be a time of learning and experiencing new things
and I'm looking forward to it! :)

" Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I  will uphold you with my righteous right hand "

Mock

There is really nothing much going on
as things are starting to slow down.
Thus, it explains why i am not blogging.
It's a good thing that I'm not so busy anymore, i suppose.
Hmm, but why does it feels so odd?
I'm actually starting to worry whether i overlooked anything.
I hope not.
Gosh, i think too much sometimes.
I should go watch the video now :)

Lord, give me wisdom to take this in the right way
Let all that i do bring glory to your name as
I Look to You.

It's not easy but I'm looking forward
to what God has in store for us :)

This is it.

GRANDE PRIMO DO BRASIL 2008!

drivers,
put on your helmets and wear your seat belts
for the LAST RACE of the SEASON!!

who is going to win the World Drivers Championship?

it's either you or me, dude.

Felipe Massa, Ferrari
guess who is on pole, ham? obviously not you!

Lewis Hamilton, Mclaren Mercedes
ahh, i'm gonna lose my championship again.

"I will lose the WDC but i want it back right away!" says the Iceman

I sure hope Ham doesn't take my title away.

Brazil is going to be Coulthard's last race of his career :(

this is how fake a smile can get.

boy, i sure hope this happens to Ham *evil grin*

GOSH, this is SO close.
Massa is 7 points behind, which means that he would have to win this race to have a chance in winning the WDC. On the other hand, Lewis has to finish the race and come in 5th at the very least. I, of course, am supporting MASSA! I want to see Ham's disappointed face all over again. :P oh yea, btw he is starting 4th on the grid and Massa is on pole. *jumping with excitement* Sadly, Kimi does not have a chance of fighting for the championship this year but i will be happy enough to see Ham lose. :) This is going to be exciting !

WATCH the race : 1.00 AM, 2nd November 2008
