It is Monday again and we are all definitely feeling the blues, (how can we not? especially after the Blues won the Red Devils :P) so, after having a short criminal tutorial, THE 6 of us (carlye, jason, annie, kelly, pearly and me) had a dilemma at hand! 

should we stay for boring ELS or maybe just maybe, we should go to MV and watch a movie?

 yay ! what a great weekend filled with good news :D this weekend was kinda boring honestly  as nothing much happened but the highlight would have to be Kimi winning the Spanish Grand Prix for the second time this season and Massa a close second. Kimi has been on the podium 3 times in a row already, isn't it great? :) it's so nice that he's leading for a change and not having to play catch all the time.

Sadly, Heikki had a high-speed crash because of a punctured tire. It was terrible, like a deja vu of Senna's death! It was such a relief to me when I saw him giving a thumbs up while lying on the stretcher. Thank God, he is safe with no broken bones or serious injuries. 

oh yeah, another good news :P Chelsea WON Manchester United. Although, I only watched half of the match (because i was watching F1), I am so glad that they now have the chance to win this season! what a great end to a pleasant weekend :)

as time goes by, casablanca.

I would probably say casablanca is one of the best love stories i've ever watched. As this is the first time I've watched a black and white movie, i thought it would be rather boring and slow. However, casablanca is actually a very short movie (only one and the half hours) and the song "as time goes by", which is one of my favourite songs, was the perfect soundtrack for the movie. Although it isn't one of the most moving movie I've seen, now i know, why it's an ultimate classic :)

Racquet-phobia!

Thanks to my good friend Pearly, i now have racquet-phobia and half a fat lip (my friends call it the "jolie" lip). :P Yes, I got smack by the racquet while playing badminton on Tuesday. Ouch! I've realized that i have been getting injuries every where this week :S how unlucky of me or maybe I'm just plain clumsy.

To P, don't feel bad about hurting me cause i still love you as much. :) V.

The Report :

A great week but a tiring one. It's still raining almost everyday but the weather ain't gonna bring me down anymore :P Thanks to my trusty friend the umbrella, who keeps me from getting wet. I wasn't home much this week which means that my money went flowing out of my pocket like tap water. "yay" but i guess it was worth it, since i got to meet my friends, wailing & pam :) merry happy me.

Hair-O-logy according to Pearly

a good friend of mine asked me a question today :

Why does our eyebrows, eyelashes and all other facial hair on our head does not grow at the same rate as our hair? 

According to her Hair-o-logy, all hair on our head should grow on the same rate because it's all near the brain. I shall leave you to your imagination of how all of us should look like if Pearly was God. yes i know, Thank God she did NOT created us! :P

Things-i-have-never-done-before LIST.

1) i got pulled over by a cop.

oh yes, today is my first time ever. how happy. i got pulled over for speeding. how fast was i going? 90km/h, bugger! is that fast to you? the speed limit was 80. so i went over it but still! anyways, today's incident ends with a happy ending. he let me go, although he did asked for some bribe for 3 times and i just gave him my most pitiful look and acted stupid. thank god, it worked! :D so yay, however, i do not want to experience this ever again!

2) futsal

i can now add this into my list. i have officially played futsal in a proper area and not running around bare footed wearing skirt on chinese new year. ah yes, it was very tiring and painful at times but i'm glad i scored at least one goal for my team (it was the first goal). woohoo! we didn't win but i think we all had fun and we actually did a good job for first-timers. for this, i wouldn't mind a second or a third time :)


* 2 new things in one day! one good and the other not so good, but i'm still very happy about today. maybe it's because i'm listening to kate nash's "merry happy" or maybe i just am :P

Although the timing was not as synchronized as some people froze earlier than others, it was definitely a successful one because a large group of people joined, estimated around 200+. It's cool that we, malaysians can get together to do something in unison, without speeches or reference to our age, colour, sex, beliefs and background. dontcha think?

The Report :

It's been raining like usual but the sun still comes out to greet us every afternoon. :) My umbrella is becoming to be a very good friend of mine. I just have to remember to bring it out though. Lucky for me, i did not get caught in the jam this week! whee. A very good week but it's been a busy busy one too, packed with classes and activities. bah, I really NEED some SLEEP!

A good friend of mine told me this quote, "you can tell if a person is intelligent by his answer, you can tell if he is wise by his question". And I would have to say that i agree with it. Another favourite quote of mine is by Sheila Walsh, a beautiful lady inside and out who is also blessed with an amazing voice. She once said that, "Knowledge can be learned, but wisdom must be earned. Wisdom is knowledge ... lived."

I would say that there are many many intelligent people in this world, however to find one who is wise is not so simple a task. In Proverbs 3 : 13 it is written "Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains undertstanding". Hopefully, i'll be that happy man some day :P an intelligent man may not be wise, however a wise man is always smart. thats what i think ;)

bonjour :)

yes, i made it to my first french class today even though i was an hour late because of my ms test. thanks to my good friend A, i was able to copy half of his paper and got to finish the paper in half the time. French class was nice but the language is really quite tough :S hopefully i'll be able to make it. Anyways after that, I went to pav with my family and i got a new white blouse and some hairbands. yay. so much for not shopping. i guess i can conclude today as a good one :) thank you, Lord for answering my prayers.

boo hoo * i just got papercut on my finger :( i hope it's not a bad luck sign since i'm having my malaysian studies test tomorrow. Did i mention that i have not touched a single page of the text book yet? i just hope i pass. 

Nothing much happened today, i would say. I went to college to pick up Lu, then we went to mv to catch a movie called "definitely, maybe", which i enjoyed. It's has a nice plot which kept me guessing till the very end. The story also showed how complicated relationships may be and how love can be found at the most unexpected places :). Jack and the gang also came over to visit me and lu. Although it was a short visit, it was nice to see old faces again. i do hope we will meet up again some time soon.

why oh why, didn't america vote for michael johns?! i still can't believe that he got voted out tonight! honestly, i knew he would not win american idol but he definitely did not deserve to go home tonight. this guy has a lot of talent and his voice is just so amazing. since the first time i heard him sang "bohemian rhapsody", i knew that he was gonna make it. other great performances by him was, across the universe, light my fire, don't you (forget about me) and his best one would definitely be on march 25, where he sang "we will rock you/we are the champions". I really do hope he'll get a record deal soon and become big big BIG like Daughtry. ;)

i have an insoluble dilemma.

I absolutely hate making decisions! people who know me well would know this.  and yet, here i am stuck with a dilemma which is killing me :( 

learning a new language has been listed as one my resolutions for year 2008 and the language i have chosen to learn is french. since then 3 months has passed and i have not enrolled myself for any classes yet. yeah i know, what a good start right? anyways, something caught my eye last week which was a brochure on french lessons. i was thrilled as the location was very near to my college and also i have got a friend who will be taking the course with me. sadly, i found out that i have a test at the same time with the first french class. HOW LUCKY. plus, i'm not sure whether my dad would want to pay for it. sigh. i don't know what to do..

i did promise D that i was going to start making decisions faster and i plan on keeping it. so, with the help of my sister and a friend and after much deliberation, i have come to the conclusion that i am going to go take up the course! even if i have to pay the fees myself. i refuse to let myself regret that i did not do it now when i'm much older.

 YES, i must do it now or never. :) now all i can do is pray to God that i can finish my paper early so that i'll be able to run across the street as fast as i can :P we'll see..

A Walk in the Park

i would consider today as a stroll at the park. time seemed to fly by quickly, which is a good thing of course. i had my first public class today and oh boy, was my lecturer young. (nopey dopey, i dont fall for lecturers) he's class was good but honestly, i think he talks a little too slow. the new april intake also joined us for this new class and gosh, do they look smart and scary. i cannot continue being so lazy anymore! 

As today is coming to an end, i feel jolly and revitalized just as if i had taken a wonderful walk in the park. it's been a long time since i felt this way. and i like it! :)

*note to self : go take up that text book sitting in that corner there and read one chapter, lazy bum!! GO!

every tuesday is going to be badminton day from now. today, me and my uni friends enjoy another great 2 hours of fun, sweat and laughter. i likey. i can't wait for next tuesday. *wooosh*

a friend of mine said that girls often take advantage of guys, which i only agree to a certain extent. as i believe that there are girls who would prefer to depend on their own! this is a very interesting topic but i shall leave it at here for now.

note : it's 9.13 pm and i feel so hungry. my mum saying this is a first. i dont care. im eating "ear" biscuits and i'm going to get myself a cup of 'mm-hmm' milk. :P

The Report : 

Heavy rain poured down every evening, wetting our shoes and making us yawn before time. However, the bright smiling sun will never fail to greet us in the morning. The week started off slow in the beginning and ended with a very busy weekend but a good one, I would say. Time can't be spent any better when you are in the company of great friends. Happy Birthday, Li wen! :) thank you so much, I had a wonderful saturday night.

Another rainy day. Its been raining so much here lately, which can be very wearying some times. Not to mention that I got stuck in traffic for 2 whole hours (in a manual car) yesterday trying to get home. When I finally got home, I was too exhausted to do anything else and my legs felt like jell-O. However, looking at the bright side of things the weather feels so good and refreshing after the rain, like a cool drink of water on a hot day. As I see the dark clouds disappear it was as if they were taking my troubles away and I could feel a calm sense of peace overcome me. :)
