Hong Kong Trip

So, i am still on holiday . . .

It's been a great one so far and I am proud to say that I haven't exactly been bumming around doing nothing. In fact, I have been so busy because of my trips and also occasional random events popping up that I hardly had the time to catch any movies in the cinema or clean my room till it is sparkling white.

I haven't been blogging much because . . . well, my excuse is because I have better things that I would prefer to do rather than blogging. (plus I hardly come online nowadays) But since I have some free time in my hands now, I thought I'll just upload some pictures :)

Here are a few snapshots from my Hong Kong trip.

the gang :)

Did i mention it was burning hot?

Hong Kong at night is really quite the scenery

Irene & I on the way to the peak

A shot from the peak

Beef Noodles *yum yum*

I find this rather interesting

and this is how most of HK looks like, really.

JESUS in Temple Street ! :D

This is my first time going to Hong Kong and honestly, i was initially quite in shock to be surrounded by so many chinese, even though I am one. Yes, It's kinda scary to see so many people of my kind to be pushing, shouting, walking, screaming and eating all together. Quite an experience, I would say and I can't imagine going there if I weren't chinese.

Actually I didn't feel very far from home because HK is very similar to KL in many ways except what i mentioned above. The food there is more on the pricey side  but the portions given are quite big and most stores serve absolutely tasty food. For the food, i'll give 100 stars! :D The second best thing in HK is shopping of course, which was my daily activity since the theme parks were way too crowded because of school holidays. One thing which I didn't like about HK however is how busy and pack everywhere is. If you think our public transport is pack during peak hours, HK is way worse.

All in all, Hong Kong is quite an interesting place to visit and the food would make ones trip worth it but I have to say that there is no place like home. I still have not found a place that has better (and cheaper!) food than my beloved Malaysia. Agree?

Sabah : Out & About

Location : Mark's Lodge Hotel, Sandakan
Time : 11.42pm

Hellooo, I am now at Sandakan, Sabah. :)

The last time I actually came here was when I was 3 years old, which is equivalent to not coming here at all. The only thing that I was told about Sandakan was that I vomitted throughout the 5 hour journey the last time I came here, which thankfully did not happen again. If you decide to take over more than 50 cars and 15 lorries in a two lane road (one each way), you will be able to reach here in around 5 hours from Kota Kinabalu, given you don't get killed. The nice thing about taking a car ride here rather than a 45 minute flight is the beautiful scenery of Mount Kinabalu, which is absolutely stunning. :D (so many trees!)

Sandakan is almost like what KK used to be 5 or 6 years ago. Or maybe more way back? It's a small town compared to KK but it's nice in it's own way and it's got quite a nice stadium. Oh yeah, I am here to watch the Saga (Sabah Games 2009), not really because I am a sports fan but it's because my cousins are participating in it :D Anyways, I don't often blog about what I do/where I am but it's not everyday I come to Sandakan either. I will be here till Thursday or Friday. Maybe, Sandakan may surprise me. :)

note : Pictures will be uploaded when i get back to KK.

Catch My Breath

There goes the first two weeks of holiday :) It has been great! I wouldn't say i have been very busy but busy enough nonetheless. It's definitely nice to finally have that long awaited break. Anyways, here are some of the things that I have been doing.

#1 Celebrate
Bubba Gump with Lu and Huay Ann on the 22nd itself! All I can say is, awesomeeee.

#2 Spring Cleaning
I have been waiting to do this and I finally got it done! yay. I really love Cif :D Thanks to it and that white toothbrush, so many things looks new, bright and most importantly white. hehe.

#3 Happy Birthday, Margaret!
I got to know this smarty pants during my a-levels and she's not only quite funny but really fun to be around with too. I'm glad I got to at least have breakfast with you on your birthday :)

#4 Hair cut
It feels so good now that my hair is shorter and lighter and i no longer have to spend so much time just to blow my hair. Xabi got his as well and strangely he and mum looks as if they went to the same hair dresser (she admits this herself :P).

#5 Shopping!
:O i should stop, seriously. enough said, i shall not elaborate.

#6 Pan Mee
I love this, seriously. It's so gooooood.

#7 Movies. Back to back.
I've managed to watch a few already and some a few times even, thanks to my sister. Marley & Me and Stardust is still as nice as the first time i watched it. Other movies i enjoyed rather well was 'he just not that into you', '27 dresses' and 'angels & demons'. Next on my list is 'Taken'.

#8 More food!
Big Breakfast and Parties. I have been stuffing myself, which is great! as I really need to get that 3kgs goal desperately. More stuffing is welcomed.

#9 Meeting new & old friends
Xabi and I got to meet a new friend on Friday and his name is Patches. The proud parents of the cute little thing belongs to Jack & Kit. Look, Xabi and Patches are good friends already :) I have also managed to meet up with my college and highschool mates. It's always nice to see familiar faces, don't you agree?

#10 Bum bum That is what a holiday is all about, isn't it? :) Besides bumming, i actually managed to read some books, exercise! and even learn new things about photography and art. There is more to come and i am excited!

note : this has been sitting in my drafts because I haven't be able to upload the pictures :( I will put in the pictures as soon as I can.

Sniff sniff*

Do you smell it?

Cause I do.

It's the smell of . . . . freedom :)

So, my holiday is finalllyyyy here and truthfully, it feels odd.

I'm not saying i don't like what I am feeling at the moment but having such a long holiday (3 whole months) is something I have never enjoyed since . . . forever? The longest holiday i've had is around two months only and that was when i was still wearing a school uniform. My holidays are never really a holiday usually because i end up being more busy than usual. I don't know why but it just happens.

Honestly, i never really enjoyed holidays that are too long because i much prefer having something to do even if it means going to class and I also find the lack of a proper routine rather annoying. I love bumming and lazing around (who doesn't?) but the fact of the matter is that time is ticking away much too quickly for it to be wasted away with no purpose! I don't get such a holiday often and hopefully, i'll be able to use the time I have wisely while having a good time :)

Some of the things that i'll be doing/'plan' to do during the holidays :

- go to Sabah to visit JJ
- go to Hong Kong with my church mates
- spring clean my room :)
- learn how to cook edible food
- play the guitarrr
- finish reading all the books in my book list
- finish watching all the movies in my movie list
- disturb my friends endlessly
- stalk someone
- plan more trips that probably will not happen (still want to plan though)
- go shoppinnngg (or maybe not? nah, of course i have to )
- annoy my sister
- decorate my room
- eat and eat to gain (at least ) three kilos of weight!!
- sleep to get rid of those hideous eyebags
- oh yeaahhhh . . . . exercise! (almost forgot :p)
- other things . . . which i have not thought of at the moment
- and also hang out with you :) yes, you reading this.
(only applicable to people i know)

p/s : you'll be seeing more of me, i think.

pp/s : any other suggestion on what i should be doing during the 3 months? anything except working :P

i had a blast while it lasted and i'm looking forward to next year's celebration!

chinese new year has been great this year, which was not what
I predicted because there weren't so many people around this time.
I really wish I could celebrate it with the Lokas though, as they
always brighten my CNY a little more than normal every year.
But truly God is good and gave me more than i expected, as always :)

Hmm, Guess what i was stuck doing the whole week while i went 'bai nian' ?

yes, the lovely land ASSIGNMENT of course!

vickie has officially said goodbye to her land assignment
*gives a hard kick to it*
yes, be gone, never to be seen again! :)

Blessed Birthday, David !

(i was tempted to put your favourite picture; hint : the "sign". haha!)

Thanks for your patience in teaching me how to play the guitar
and also for listening to my rantings/weird dilemmas.
Thanks for fetching me around and stuffing me with good food.
Thank you for psycho-ing me too. I think there is just too much to thank you for.
So, Thank you for everything.
You are truly a big brother with a big heart to me :)
