hello, NOVEMBER ! :)

Since is the beginning of another awesome month, 

i shall give all of you a treat!

(because i know everybody loves treats, like my dog)

i shall put my dignity in line and risk to lose all aspect of self-worth 

for the sake of your entertaining.

Some of you have already seen it, some haven't

some know this side of me, some don't.

But i guess you'll find out soon enough anyways.

There goes my Deepavali holiday . . .

but then again,

A holiday is never a 'holiday' for Vickie,

without being overly exhausted,

without having surprises,

without doing crazy things,

without freaking out due to stress,

without having the most awesome time,

without thanking God for all He has done :)

There is really never a dull time when the Lokas are reunited. What a great surprise i got this holiday when i went to KL Central to supposedly pick up my "uncle" and ended up fetching 2 crazy girls back home instead. Thanks for the surprise, Jan-ice and Jessie! :) It has been an out-of-this-world week for me, with 6 days of family reunions, karaoke, pictionary, dancing, video-making, and oh the FOOD. Too much, i tell you, way too much. but what a time we had! i am so exhausted yet i wouldn't trade our time together for anything else. gosh, i miss you girls already lar.

His mercies are new every morning;

What a roller coaster ride it has been.

So much has been happening in such a short time and i have to admit that it hasn't been easy for me to take in everything. There is just so many things piling up and the expectations all around has really taken it's toll on me. A lot of good things has been happening but of course new problems keep arising and datelines are looming closer all at the same time. Tell me, is it possible to be so happy and bothered at the same time? Because that is exactly what i have been facing, it feels like I am sitting on one of those thrill rides. You feel so excited, yet so worried, nervous and scared at the same time and at times like these i do feel like giving up, to throw my hands in the air and say i don't want to have anything to do with it anymore.

Yet at this time of trial and testing, He has been teaching me, leading me, guiding me, and loving me every moment of the day. He has taught me the meaning of being patient and to rejoice in Him despite of the things that was happening or how i felt. O God, I stand in awe of You. For all that You've done, doing and are going to do! :)

Everything may not be how I want it to be for now.

but all I know is that,

when I fall, He will pick me up

when I'm down, He will lift me up

when I'm insufficient,

He is more than sufficient for me.

and that is all i can hold on to . . .

The last whole week

screams 

 " busy, busy, BUSY! "

Seriously, i have never celebrated so many (6 to be exact) birthdays in 7 days! I know, thats called crazy. :P I am totally wiped-out-tired but it is all worth it. For what could be better than spending time with people whom you love on their special day? :) There is too much too tell, really. To cut it short, this week was filled with gooood food, singing, screaming, hugs, tears, presents, more hugs, plenty of bonding time, smiles and laughter! :)

Thursday : Happy Birthday, Pamela (ahem) Radcliffe!

The only girl i know so crazy over jackets and daniel radcliffe,

but i still love you all the same!

I hope all things good will come your way, 'grandpa'.

You have always taken care of me like a mother (even though we are the same age) and i really appreciate it. :)

Saturday : Huay Ann's Birthday!

Even though we couldn't really celebrate your birthday, 

I'm glad we met up even for a little while.

I pray that God will continue to guide you and lead you 

as you pursue your goals & dreams.

I will definitely never forget all the times we had, kindergarden mate! :)

Sunday : Liza Uma's Birthday!

Although we have already surprised her on monday, me and david still wanted to celebrate with Liza again on the actual day. So we went to Jarrods & Rawlins for dinner and the food was goooood ('so sedap wei') as i couldn't stop eating :P. It was a really nice dinner and i'm glad i had it with two people whom i really love.

A sister, a role-model, an inspiration and a friend. ILY, liza! :D

Monday : Jason Gee's Birthday!

It was my first time going karaoke with my friends at Red Box Plus at Pavillion 

and boy, did we have fun! 

We were singing (more like screaming at times) and dancing to crazy songs from westlife, ABBA, beegees, spice girls, savage garden, bon jovi and so much more. i never would have thought i would find people as crazy as me. heh.

 

i am glad to have found a friend in you, Jason :)

 I am looking forward to more of skype, singing, yum cha, and even studying with you! 

you really surprise me in many ways :) happy birthday, partner!

hmm, what can i say?

it was amazing! that's what i can tell you :P

i am so thrilled that the surprise party worked out so well :D although we did have a few hiccups, like liza coming early suddenly! gosh, that really gave maddie, dave and I, a shock of our lives. Fortunately, we could save it as she was so blurr as usual (hehe) and thought the party wasn't for her. Another hiccup was that melvin arrived at 9pm, so everybody was stuck outside church (except me and maddie, who was rotting) for some time. BUT everything went so well as the three of them was genuinely surprised and didn't suspect nor expect anything! *cheers*

This celebration wasn't like any other as we were not celebrating one special person's birthday but THREE great leaders whom i really respect and who has truly helped shape the person I am today. They have been such and encouragement and inspiration to me in so many ways and i could never thank them enough for all that they have taught and done. Our practice for the night was canceled so that we could spend time with each other and we ended up having an appreciation session with emo speeches and sweet messages. :) Each and every one left church that night with another lovely memory filled with tears, laughter and joy, seeing the fruits which we now reap after all the hardwork and commitment put into every Monday for 6 amazing years. All glory be to our God for all He has done!
